Zouk 100 Cohort
This is for the new and committed Brazilian zouk dancer! Learn the first set of fundamentals with direction changes, basic musicality concepts, and body movements. Our main goal in Level 100 classes is for you to have the timing and basic footwork solid. In this level we will cover the following fundamentals: viradinha, lateral, basic, body undulations, lateral in open position, soltinho, yo-yo, simple turn, and cuddle.
Zouk 200 Cohort
The 200 levels introduce a new set of fundamentals and concepts that will support your dance. Variations include directional changes and lead/follow dynamics. Topics include the following fundamentals: gostozinho, raul, bonus, lateral vs. abertura, chest & hip isolation, aviao, cambre, pIao, puladinho, bonus variations, reverse lateral, and hammerlock variations. *Prerequisites include all classes in Levels 100-103.
Zouk 300 Cohort
A deep-dive into head movement. These involve both linear and circular head movement elements on top of basic steps. Students must execute the following movements with ease and proficiency: linear and rotational basics, viradinha with directional changes, simple turns, piao, balanco, abertura, lateral, bonus, and undulations.
Zouk 400 Cohort
Lambada
Lambada is the grandmother of Brazilian Zouk and is now widely popular among social dancers. Understand its rhythm, games, and structure to switch between dances confidently. Our master teachers explain the science of the dance from basics to boneca.
A Note About Cohorts
All cohorts are progressive over 6 months. You can join during the first 3 months, before they close. The next cohort begins September, 2026.
