April Axé Charmaine, (they & she), is an award-winning artist, who has toured in the United States, Ghana, Brasil, Guatemala, Colombia, France, and Spain. With a background in dances of the African Diaspora (Hip Hop, West African, Symbology of the Orixas), they have trained in: Modern (Horton/Dunham/Limon), SomaSource, 5 Rhythms, Ecstatic Dance, Laban, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Guerilla Theatre, Performance Art, Yoga, Meditation, Improv and Creative Movement.
They are dedicated to inspiring others to radical personal freedom; pioneering progressive movement communities and creating safer, inclusive spaces for authentic expression, body reclamation and collective healing.
